If this describes you to a tee, we would really like to hear from you regarding an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Senior Receptionist. Supported by the on site Surgery Team Leader, you will play a key role in providing an efficient, safe and responsive service.
Main duties of the jobThis role would offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their supervisory and leadership skills whilst being supported by the site Surgery Team Lead and Surgery Team Manager.
The successful applicant must possess excellent communication skills and have some experience of supervising colleagues. Whilst experience of primary care is not essential, it will be advantageous.
Job responsibilitiesAssist with the smooth day-to-day running of the site and work within the Reception Team. The post holder will work closely with (and under the direction of) the Surgery Team Leader to provide a first class reception service and actively implement the continual improvement of standards across a wide range of activities.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
SeniorDuties:
- Support the Surgery Team Leader (STL) inthe day to day running of the site, ensuring appropriate senior cover duringperiods of leave and sickness absence.
- Be a positive ambassador for change tothe reception team.
- Be aware of monthly reporting duties andensure deadlines are met in STLs absence.
- On-site support and mentorship for newstaff.
- Take the lead in areas of practiceadministration
- Ensure all reception and administration duties are completed to the highest standards
- Ensuring site compliance with Practice and Statutory obligations including (but not limited to) fire, security and health and safety measures
- Support and provide resilience for Surgery Team Leader on site as and when required
- Good Standard of English and Maths
- NVQ in Customer Service or equivalent
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise
- Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
- Able to motivate others
- Appropriate use of initiative
- Quality improvement
- At least 2 years' experience in a customer facing role
- Demonstrable Team Lead or Supervisory experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Oversight / management of change in a work environment
- Customer service principles
- Information Governance / GDPR
- Knowledge of clinical systems
- Knowledge of local healthcare initiatives e.g. Pharmacy First
- Do you currently, or will you in the future, have the need for sponsorship to be able to work within the UK ?
