The SystemsModelling & Simulation Team:
You will be working as aSystems Mathematical & Simulation Modeller within a radarproduct team of inter disciplinary engineers from a bespokeportfolio of new and existing products as part of our prestigiousProducts delivery stream. This position provides excellentopportunities to develop both your own skills and also further yourcareer within Maritime Services and the widercompany.

What you'll be doing:
- Conduct mathematical modellingand simulation development devising and evolving algorithmic anddesign solutions to meet system capability and performancerequirements of complex radarsystems Utilise mathematical modellingand simulation to identify and develop performance enhancements andnovel solutions to improve existing radar product capability andevolve future associatedtechnologies Develop novel solutions toevolving technical challenges and emerging issues that our customercommunity are facing
- Support multi-disciplinedengineering teams in the realisation, implementation, verificationand validation of algorithmic and design solutions for deployableradar systems Conduct system performanceanalysis and design trade-offs of principle system parameters inorder to characterise and define system design constraints andlimitations in various operationalscenarios Undertake system performanceanalysis of integration and post trials data to inform radarsystems design solutions, and to generate customer acceptanceevidence Apply a breadth of knowledge,skills and experience of Systems Engineering (e.g. ISO 15288) todesign and develop solutions and resolve engineering issues andproblems for a range of products and engineering situations
- Astrong mathematical and engineering mind-set with an innovativeapproach to problem solving that can be applied to resolvingcomplex technical and system levelrequirements Experience of mathematicalsimulation tools/languages (e.g. Mathworks MATLAB, Simulink, Pearl,Python, MathCAD)
- An understanding of factorsthat can affect the real-world performance of radar systems and howthese can impact modelled or simulated performanceprediction Further education (orequivalent experience) in a relevant STEMdiscipline
