Job Description
Scotland Travel Across Project Sites & Offices Lead Quality Excellence Across Scotland's Energy Infrastructure

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is delivering some of the UK's most critical energy projects. We're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, governance and continuous improvement across our Scotland Energy portfolio.

This is a senior leadership position where you'll shape quality strategy across major transmission and distribution projects, including substations, overhead lines and underground cable schemes. Working closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners, you'll ensure quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle, driving right-first-time delivery and exceptional client confidence.

What You'll Do Quality Leadership
  • Lead quality strategy across multiple projects and frameworks.
  • Promote a positive quality culture across the business.
  • Support operational leaders in delivering quality objectives and continuous improvement.
Assurance & Governance
  • Deliver assurance programmes, including audits, inspections and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, client requirements and company standards.
  • Monitor performance trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide governance reporting to senior leadership teams.
Project & Client Support
  • Support projects from design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Advise teams on quality risks, opportunities and best practice.
  • Represent Morgan Sindall Infrastructure during client audits and assurance reviews.
Supply Chain & Continuous Improvement
  • Oversee supplier and subcontractor quality performance.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Drive root cause analysis, lessons learned and preventative actions.
Digital Transformation & Team Development
  • Champion digital quality systems, dashboards and data-led decision making.
  • Lead, mentor and develop Quality Managers, Engineers and Advisors.
  • Support succession planning and capability development across the quality function.
What We're Looking For Essential
  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quality Management or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a senior quality role within energy, utilities, infrastructure or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience delivering quality assurance and quality control on major infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Professional institution membership.
  • Experience working on National Grid, SSEN, SP Energy Networks or similar frameworks.
  • Experience using digital quality platforms, Power BI, FieldView or equivalent systems.
