We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join a high-performing, agile team focused on delivering exceptional product quality across web and mobile platforms. In this role, you will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to embed quality practices from the design phase through release. You will lead test automation initiatives, shape CI/CD processes, and explore innovative approaches including AI-assisted testing. The environment is fully remote, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, providing the opportunity to influence technical standards and deliver scalable, reliable solutions. Strong technical judgment, proactive problem-solving, and attention to detail are critical for success, as is the ability to adapt quickly to evolving product and business needs.
Accountabilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from project inception to ensure quality is integrated at every stage.
- Lead and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and WebdriverIO.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for web and mobile applications with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Design and implement test strategies that leverage data factories, APIs, and new platform integrations (e.g., payment systems).
- Implement CI/CD changes, debug failing tests, and continuously optimize automation workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and drive improvements to quality processes, tools, and frameworks.
- Explore and implement innovative testing approaches, including AI-assisted strategies, to ensure fast, reliable releases.
- Take ownership of end-to-end test strategies, from requirements analysis to exploratory, regression, and UI/UX testing.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation, primarily for web applications; mobile experience is a plus.
- Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands on experience in Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
- Experience designing, implementing, and debugging CI processes (e.g., BuildKite).
- Proven track record of leading quality initiatives and delivering results in fast-moving, agile environments.
- Deep understanding of quality best practices and "shift-left" testing methodologies.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to implement scalable testing solutions across complex systems.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and curious, with a passion for identifying potential issues early.
- Familiarity or interest in AI-powered testing tools and emerging quality engineering technologies.
- CEFR C2 / ILR 5 English proficiency.
- Experience implementing quality standards across both web and mobile platforms.
- Prior exposure to payments or e commerce integrations (Stripe, ApplePay, GPay, Buy Now Pay Later).
- Contributions to open-source QA frameworks or communities.
- Competitive USD based compensation ($120,000-$130,000) with equity and annual reviews.
