Job Description
Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk - Up to £45,000 plus benefits - North London (on-site)

My client, one of the largest privately owned construction companies in London, is currently looking to hire a new Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing high volumes of invoices, and supporting the wider finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being part of a friendly, hardworking team.

Key responsibilities:
  • Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment runs
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Managing queries from suppliers and internal teams
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date ledger records
  • Assisting with month end tasks and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards
  • Cash Book Postings
Key skills:
  • Proven experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build good supplier relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
