We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred psychological services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The successful candidate will support individuals presenting with behaviours of concern, mental health needs, resilience development requirements and dementia, while also contributing to staff training, reflective practice and service development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Deliver person-centred psychological supports adapted to the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams, alongside families, staff and external services.
• Deliver training and facilitate reflective practice to develop staff skills and confidence.
• Support teams in managing complex situations using appropriate therapeutic frameworks.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, statistics and waiting lists.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and contribute to positive team working.
• Identify and develop proposals for additional resources and service improvements.

Essential Requirements

• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology.
• Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and validation by the Department of Health and Children.
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering training and providing supervision.
• Full manual driving licence.
