About the role

This role leads the way in securing funding through grant writing and tenders, helping bring programs and projects to life when successful. It also supports the development of culturally responsive procedures and strategic initiatives that strengthen practice and evidence for Aboriginal children and families. Working across all VACCA programs and regions, you'll collaborate with staff to design programs that honour culture, community, and self determination.

About You

You're a storyteller, strategist and write funding submissions, project plans, and policy papers that help bring programs to life. You build strong relationships with leaders and partners to uncover opportunities that strengthen VACCA's ability to deliver culturally grounded services. You manage funding information, budgets, and outcomes with care, and lead projects from design to delivery, ensuring they honour culture and community. You collaborate widely, guide others, and represent VACCA with integrity, always working to create programs that empower Aboriginal children, young people, and families.

Desirable
  • Degree in Communications, or related discipline and/or relevant experience in writing, research, analysis, advocacy, policy and/or experience in operations / corporate services supporting the community services sector
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar role or role with transferable skills
  • This role may require travel throughout Victoria
  • Valid Police Check, Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and a Victorian Driver Licence
  • Current COVID 19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
