Senior Project Manager / Senior Project Leader Electrical & Renewables Clonmel, Ireland Location: Clonmel, with projects primarily across southern Ireland Employment: Permanent The Opportunity An established and rapidly growing Irish construction business is seeking an ambitious Senior Project Manager / Senior Project Leader to lead and develop its electrical division. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a growing business unit, with significant autonomy to drive strategy, secure new projects and build a team. The company's ambition is to transition from a civil subcontractor to a main contractor in the electrical balance of plant (BOP) market, focusing on 20kV-110kV substations and renewable energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the company's electrical division. Build and maintain relationships with ESB, key clients and industry stakeholders. Identify, tender for and secure electrical BOP and substation projects. Manage project delivery, commercial performance and site operations. Recruit, develop and manage electrical contractors and teams. Drive the transition from subcontractor to main contractor. Contribute to business strategy and long-term growth.The Ideal Candidate Extensive experience in electrical infrastructure and substation projects (20kV-110kV). Proven experience working on ESB projects and established industry relationships. Strong commercial, tendering and project management expertise. Experience in electrical BOP and contractor management. A credible, entrepreneurial leader with the ambition to build and grow a business. Excellent client-facing, communication and business development skills. The Role Reporting directly to senior management, you will have considerable autonomy to shape the electrical division and play a pivotal role in the company's growth strategy. With an established civil infrastructure business, a team of approximately 40 employees and significant growth ambitions, this is an opportunity to build a new division and establish a long-term position within Ireland's expanding electrical and renewables sectors. The first six months will focus on developing the electrical capability, securing initial contracts, building key industry relationships and delivering projects.
