Senior Project Manager

We're supporting a large-scale defence programme and looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead high-value, high-complexity projects in a secure, heavily regulated environment. You'll manage multi-disciplinary teams, oversee technical delivery, and ensure compliance with safety, cost, and schedule targets across a portfolio of critical infrastructure or submarine-related work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end project management across multiple workstreams
• Lead stakeholder engagement, contractor oversight, and commercial processes
• Develop and manage documentation including plans, risk registers, and project controls
• Monitor cost, schedule, safety, and quality across the full project lifecycle
• Manage internal teams (project controllers/engineers) and act as key interface for governance reporting
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned
• Operate within nuclear procedure frameworks and regulated safety processes

Experience/Skills:

• Degree or HNC in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management
• APM PMQ / PPQ or equivalent
• Strong background in technical project delivery within complex or secure environments
• Comfortable leading in regulated sectors, with experience in defence or nuclear
• Experience with governance frameworks, risk analysis, contractor performance, and stakeholder engagement
• Familiar with Primavera, MS Project, and structured project delivery methods
