We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team within our Marine Business Unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting bids, overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, expertise in project planning, customer and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities
  • Support business development and bid activities, including requirements capture, scope definition, cost estimation, and scheduling.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of fixed-price projects, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and budget targets are consistently met.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, applying robust monitoring, control, and change management processes.
  • Maintain commercial control through regular review cycles and KPI reporting to leadership.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate the delivery to support project execution.
  • Direct cross-functional teams to achieve project deliverables, ensuring timely invoicing aligned with agreed milestones.
  • Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and proactive engagement.
  • Provide consistent stakeholder communication, including progress updates, milestone tracking, and risk reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Expleo's QMS, customer processes, and legal regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., APM, PMP) is preferred
Essential skills
  • Proven experience in delivering complex engineering projects, ideally within the defence or marine sectors.
  • Strong project planning, monitoring, and change control capabilities.
  • Expertise in stakeholder engagement and supplier management.
  • High level of contractual and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in performance management of teams and individuals.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and methodologies aligned with APM BoK or PMP standards.
Desired skills
  • Background in naval supply chain projects.
  • Experience with safety-related work in marine or defence environments.
Experience
  • Extensive experience inproject management, including fixed-price delivery.
