Job Description
Overview

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager at Legatics, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategy and development of our legal transaction management platform. Operating at the intersection of user needs, market opportunity, business goals and technical feasibility, you will lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, sales, and customer success to deliver meaningful, high-impact solutions for transactional lawyers. From analysing market and competitive trends to shaping the product roadmap, defining feature requirements, and delivering smooth execution and go-to-market enablement, you'll ensure the Legatics platform remains innovative, customer-focused, and responsive to the challenges faced by our users.

What you'll be doing

In close collaboration with the Chief Product Officer, and alongside the wider product management and engineering teams, this role will involve:

  • Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather, synthesise and prioritise product requirements that align with business goals and product strategy.
  • Designing and guiding discovery activities, including customer interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions, to validate assumptions, test hypotheses, and uncover unmet needs.
  • Drafting clear, comprehensive user stories and feature briefs that connect customer needs to business outcomes and provide engineering with complete context, clarity, and alignment.
  • Working closely with engineering and design to refine requirements, assess trade-offs, and deliver features that create meaningful value for customers.
  • Facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ongoing team rituals to ensure alignment and continuous momentum.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, including concept ideation, prototyping, design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Analysing product usage data (e.g., click-level metrics from Datadog), customer insights, and market signals to identify opportunities, improve user experience, and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Conducting competitive analysis and market research to stay informed about industry trends, identify product differentiators, and benchmark against competitors.
  • Acting as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, by conducting product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to educate and engage stakeholders, customers, and sales teams.
  • Partnering with marketing, sales, and customer success to align messaging, improve enablement, and drive adoption.
  • Supporting go-to-market planning and post-launch monitoring to ensure successful product rollout and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the growth of product practice at Legatics by sharing best practices.
Who would you be working with?

You would be working with a welcoming, inclusive, and committed team.

Team culture is really important to us. We're looking for someone excited to join as a key employee at this important stage in our growth - someone who brings fresh ideas and new perspectives to Legatics. You'll have regular opportunities to collaborate with senior leadership and contribute directly to strategic conversations. We're a friendly and passionate bunch with a wide range of interests, and we love to socialise together too, holding regular team events.

Who we are looking for

We're a small product team with big ambitions. We're looking for someone who thrives on deeply understanding customer needs and is obsessive about competitors and market opportunities. You should be passionate about uncovering insights that lead to valuable, well-defined features. Attention to detail is critical - we need someone who takes pride in defining requirements with precision and clarity, and for whom detail isn't just important, it's essential.

  • Significant experience in B2B SaaS product management, ideally in products that enable efficient project management and/or simply complex workflows.
  • 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of delivering impactful features and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to drive complex projects forward independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to define product requirements with a high level of precision and clarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working closely with customers to deeply understand their needs, pain points, and workflows, and translating those insights into product decisions.
  • Skilled at storytelling to communicate product roadmap, customer value, and team progress in a compelling and accessible way.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas, challenge assumptions, and approach problems from new angles.
  • Experience working closely with go-to-market teams (marketing, sales, customer success) to support product launches, enablement, and customer adoption.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions, prioritise features, and measure product success.
  • The ability to drive projects forward independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Curiosity about and practical experience with using AI tools and techniques to improve product workflows, customer experience, or team efficiency.
Bonus points (but don't let these put you off applying) if:
  • You have some legal experience.
  • You have a background in computer science or another relevant technical field.

We're interested in hiring a diverse range of candidates from all different backgrounds, so if you're not sure if you meet our requirements, we'd still love to hear from you.

What makes you a great match

This role is ideal for an experienced product manager seeking to deepen their impact and take on greater ownership of complex, high-value product areas. You'll thrive here if you're proactive, adaptable, and energised by the pace and opportunity of a growing business in an innovative and fast-evolving market. You'll do especially well if you bring maturity, independence, and a track record of driving successful product outcomes; combining strong analytical and strategic thinking with curiosity and empathy. These qualities will enable you to engage confidently with internal stakeholders and customers, and to translate deep market and user understanding into product decisions that shape the future of our platform.

What we offer you
  • Salary of £80,000 (depending on experience)
  • 25 days holiday per year (plus public holidays).
  • Early Finish Fridays - on the last Friday of every month, we finish at lunchtime!
  • Pension with NEST.
  • Personal Learning & Development budget.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies so you can spend more time with your family.
  • Lots of opportunities for accelerated professional development and career progression.
  • Work alongside a supportive and talented team with the opportunity to grow one of the world's leading LegalTech scale-ups.
  • A warm, genuinely collaborative culture and an awesome team; and
  • Regular socials.
