AboutPromethean

Prometheanis scaling a new class of materials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), with thepotential to transform the efficient capture, storage, and separation ofindustrial gases, in applications like biogas upgrading, industrialdehumidification, and carbon capture.

As we continueto move from pilot-scale production to industrial manufacturing, we are lookingfor an experienced Senior Process Engineer to help continue the developmentof safe, reliable, and scalable manufacturing operations.

This is anopportunity to play a key role in the growth of a novel chemical manufacturingbusiness, solve challenging engineering problems, and help develop the nextgeneration of engineers.

The Role

You willwork across the various scales of Promethean's manufacturing facilities,supporting day-to-day production, plant improvement activities, equipmentprojects, and manufacturing scale-up.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role within a small, but growing, engineering team.

This is notan office-based, project management, or design-only position. We are lookingfor an engineer who enjoys working directly with plant, equipment, operators,and improving the safety, quality, productivity, and economics of manufacturingprocesses.

You will beexpected to spend significant time in the plant, supporting manufacturingcampaigns, troubleshooting equipment and processes, commissioning new systems,and helping ensure product is manufactured safely, efficiently, andconsistently.

Alongsideyour technical responsibilities, you will play an important role in developingjunior engineers through coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day support.

KeyResponsibilities Manufacturing& Operations

• Support and improve pilot-scaleand commercial manufacturing operations
• Run and support manufacturingcampaigns
• Troubleshoot process, equipment,and operational issues
• Work closely with operators,technicians and engineers to ensure safe and efficient production
• Drive improvements in plantreliability, productivity, yield, and product quality
• Monitor process performance andidentify opportunities for improvement

ProcessEngineering & Continuous Improvement

• Lead process optimisation andcontinuous improvement initiatives
• Investigate plant issues andimplement practical, sustainable solutions
• Conduct root cause analysis anddrive corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and improve operatingprocedures, standards, and engineering documentation
• Support process safetyactivities including risk assessments, SOP development, and hazard reviews
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, operational efficiency, and manufacturing robustness

Projects& Scale-Up

• Support the transfer of newprocesses from R&D into manufacturing
• Specify, design, and implementplant modifications and equipment upgrades
• Lead equipment installation,commissioning, and start-up activities
• Support the development ofmanufacturing systems required for future scale-up
• Work with internal and externalstakeholders to deliver engineering projects successfully

TeamDevelopment

• Coach and mentor juniorengineers through practical day-to-day engineering activities
• Provide technical guidance andsupport across manufacturing and engineering teams
• Review engineering work andshare best practice
• Help develop an engineeringculture built around safety, ownership, problem-solving, and continuousimprovement

WhatWe're Looking For

We arelooking for someone who combines strong technical capability with practicalmanufacturing experience.

You willlikely have:

• A degree in Chemical Engineeringor a related discipline
• 8+ years of experience inchemical manufacturing, process engineering, or industrial operations
• Experience operating,troubleshooting, and improving chemical manufacturing processes
• A strong understanding ofprocess safety and risk management principles
• Experience delivering plantmodifications, commissioning activities, or process improvement projects
• Experience working withinregulated or safety-critical industrial environments
• Strong communication andproblem-solving skills
• Experience coaching, mentoring,or developing early-career engineers, technicians, or operators
• Chartered Engineer status,whilst not a pre-requisite, will be a significant advantage for this role.
