About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with strong experience in high-power design to work on innovative battery charging systems. Our client, a global leader in green energy technology, is expanding their R&D team in Glasgow, Scotland. This hybrid role offers a clear path to senior level and the opportunity to influence next-generation power solutions across sectors such as robotics, defense, and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop single/three-phase high-power battery chargers for industrial applications.
2. Develop AC to DC power conversion systems for smart energy and automation.
3. Collaborate with semiconductors, magnetics, and control theory to create efficient, robust designs.
4. Utilize lab tools (oscilloscopes, dataloggers, CAD, MRP) for prototyping and testing.

Requirements

1. Senior-level experience in power electronics design and control.
2. Expertise in LLC, phase-shift converters, active PFC, and high-power topologies.
3. Hands-on lab and simulation experience.
4. Industry background in defense, data centers, rail, or traction is a plus.
5. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
