Senior Policy Professional - Client Asset Safeguarding, Resolution Policy

• Gather intelligence and information to identify policy issues and develop solutions that protect customers' assets and money, including digital assets
• Address emerging challenges in client asset safeguarding and resolution, including digital assets
• Apply and enhance technical skills in client asset safeguarding and/or resolution
• Provide policy input on CASS-related queries and rule modifications or waivers
• Gain experience in and help manage the FCA policy-making process
• Draft and present policy proposals, committee papers, guidance, and other policy papers
• Build and manage productive stakeholder relationships
• Work with policymakers, supervisors, and other specialists across the FCA and externally

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of working in a regulatory or public policy role related to financial services, or demonstrated working understanding/application of financial services regulation
• Knowledge of safeguarding client assets, resolution, and/or digital assets
• Experience applying analytical skills to complex problems and evaluating quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to draw reasoned and logical conclusions and develop practical solutions
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to distil complex issues into succinct messages and draft high-quality reports and presentations
• Ability to present recommendations confidently to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborative approach and creative thinking about emerging regulatory issues
• Motivation for strategic and technically challenging work
• Ability to understand both the big picture and detail
• Experience managing stakeholders and building constructive relationships
• Good self- and project-management skills
• Ability to plan and drive work to challenging deadlines and adapt priorities
• Understanding of the UK financial services market and how firms operate within it
• Understanding of digital assets and their use cases is a plus
