Senior Piping Engineer

Senior Piping Engineer Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in our Cork Head Office, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering Team as a Senior Piping Engineer, supporting the delivery of our projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Your day will include: Supporting projects from design through to on-site installation. Performing piping stress and flexibility analysis using Caesar II or equivalent. Developing piping stress models, pipe supports and restraints, and assessing equipment nozzle loads. Working closely with designers and engineering disciplines to optimise pipe routing, supports and interfaces. Developing/reviewing piping specifications, calculations and technical documentation. Liaising with vendors, subcontractors and specialist designers. Identifying value engineering opportunities and providing practical design solutions. Providing technical leadership, mentoring and support to junior engineers. Ensuring work meets project, quality, safety and engineering standards. About You Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent, with 10+ years' relevant experience. Strong piping engineering and pipe stress analysis experience. Proficient in Caesar II or equivalent piping analysis software. Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1/B31.3; EN 13480 desirable. Experience with pipe support design and equipment nozzle load assessment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills. Commercially aware with a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery. Able to take ownership, prioritise workload and provide technical leadership.
