Location: Home-based - Remote - UK Based applicants only
Duration: Contract until 31 st December 2025 - Expected extension
Rate: £350 - £370 Inside IR35

Are you an experienced Senior PHP Developer with a passion for building secure, scalable, and business-critical applications? We're looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our transformation team - someone who can drive technical excellence, mentor others, and deliver innovative solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain business systems, applications, and integrations.
• Write secure, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices (MVC standards).
• Design and build intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Vue.js or similar).
• Review code and ensure high-quality, defect-free releases.
• Document system architecture, design iterations, and processes.
• Contribute to sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support modern development standards, CI/CD practices, and containerisation.

Essential Experience:

• PHP 8+ with strong OOP principles.
• MySQL and database design skills.
• Frontend technologies: JavaScript/JSON, Vue.js (or similar), HTML/CSS.
• Version control (Bitbucket/GitHub) and collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Building and integrating with APIs (third-party platforms).
• Secure development practices and defensive coding.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Desirable Extras:

• Laravel framework expertise.
• CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker), and automated deployment.
• Unit/Feature testing & database migration automation.
• Cloud infrastructure & DevOps security knowledge.
• Tailwind CSS, Inertia.js, Pinia, Postman, XML, MS SQL.
