Job Description
Job Title: Senior P&C Treaty Specialist
Location: London (Hybrid Working Available)
Team: Reinsurance - Property & Casualty Treaty
Reporting To: Head of Treaty Reinsurance
Salary: £80,000 Depending on Experience
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the end-to-end placement of proportional and non-proportional P&C treaty programmes, focusing on large, complex global risks across territories including the UK, Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
- Draft, review, and issue treaty documentation including slips, endorsements, broker agreements, and treaty wordings with high technical accuracy and compliance.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, including cedants, MGAs, and insurers, providing strategic advice, renewal planning, and performance reviews.
- Engage with London Market reinsurers, Lloyd's syndicates, and global capacity providers to secure innovative and competitive solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations, claims, and contract teams to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of junior staff through technical support, knowledge sharing, and informal mentoring.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in P&C treaty reinsurance broking, with demonstrable exposure to large, complex multinational risks.
- Deep technical knowledge of proportional and non-proportional treaty structures and documentation standards.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain high-value client and market relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience managing portfolios across multiple lines and territories.
- ACII qualified or working towards a recognised industry qualification is desirable.
