Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is looking to appoint a new Senior Organisational Development Adviser .

Presenting a rare and exciting career opportunity to join and become an influential player in one of the largest NHS Organisational Development (OD) teams in Scotland who deliver a wide and varied range of OD initiatives and projects which form a key part of the board's Workforce Strategy. These have a particular focus on leadership, culture, and talent and team development

Most importantly we are seeking a candidate with an informed understanding of the issues currently facing a large, complex and multi professional workforce in Health and Social Care, or comparable large scale Public or Private sector organisations.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest healthcare system in Scotland, employing around 41,000 staff. We are embarking on an ambitious and innovation transformation programme for how we deliver our services and are looking for change professionals to support key programmes for the next stage of journey. Role Responsibility

As well as providing an OD service to our Directorates, these roles have responsibility for the design and delivery of one or more system wide OD provisions or processes such as our implementation of Investors in People or developing leading programmes at scale.

With a collaborative and results orientated approach to OD you will be able to apply your skills and expertise to highly complex service change as well as leadership and culture development initiatives that will have a real impact on improving care for our patients and to continue to develop NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a great place to work for our staff.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual

We are seeking someone who will bring innovation and imagination to the role to ensure that it delivers a modern, effective and fit for purpose OD service during this period of significant change and beyond.

Our ideal candidate will bring extensive expert knowledge and experience in a similar role designing interventions that support effective service delivery, implementation of change, leadership development, team-based working and culture development.

Candidates will require to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with a collaborative and collegiate working style. It goes without saying the post holder will have a visible style, able to earn the confidence and respect necessary to bring about real change to OD practices.

The post holder will have the stature to communicate and build relationships with a wide array of key stakeholders and have a track record working at senior/board level delivering organisational change and development initiatives using a project management skill-set.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and have a masters degree in an OD related discipline (or experience that demonstrates a similar level of knowledge and learning) is an essential criteria.
