Senior Operator In Biofuels & Jet

Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Operator - Biofuels and Jet to join our operations team within a dynamic trading company. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in operations related to biofuels and jet fuel, solid knowledge of shipping logistics, and a strong commercial mindset. The role requires a proactive and motivated professional with the ability to delegate and coordinate tasks effectively within the team, ensuring efficient execution of trades and smooth cargo handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Handleall operational aspects of biofuels and jet fuel cargoes from dealconfirmation to delivery
• Dealdirectly with shipping activities, including vessel nominations, terminalscoordination, and management of documentation (e.g., bills of lading,customs, LCs).
• Developand maintain operational plans and schedules to ensure timely andefficient execution of cargoes.
• Act asa point of reference within the operations team, delegating tasks andcoordinating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflows.
• Trackexecution progress, anticipate potential delays, and take proactive stepsto ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Liaisewith external stakeholders such as shipping agents, terminals andinspectors for operational follow-up.
• Ensureall tasks are executed in compliance with contractual and regulatoryrequirements. Addressand resolve any operational issues or discrepancies quickly andprofessionally.
• Supportongoing improvements in operational procedures and promote internalknowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Minimumyears of experience in operations for biofuels products or jet -ideallywithin a trading environment.
• Strongunderstanding of shipping logistics, incoterms, and trading documentation.
• Abilityand willingness to take on delegation and coordination responsibilitieswithin the team over time.
• Commercialawareness and ability to assess operational impact on trading decisions.
• Detail-oriented,organized, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Fluentin English; additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experiencewith biofuels/ jet regulations
• Familiaritywith jet fuel blending or terminal operations.
• Priorexperience in a team lead or mentoring role within operations is a plus
