This role offers an exciting opportunity within Equity Transaction Services, providing middle and back office support to global Equity Trading desks serving EMEA clients. The position focuses on managing the full trade lifecycle while ensuring accurate and timely BAU transaction processing across cash equity products.
Responsibilities- Book, allocate, and confirm trades, ensuring seamless processing from execution through settlement.
- Monitor trade flows using industry platforms such as OMGEO CTM and Traiana, resolving exceptions and managing unmatched trades for priority clients.
- Ensure adherence to market deadlines, operational risk controls, and client money protection standards.
- Handle client queries, support Sales Trading desks, and liaise with front office, settlement teams and external counterparties to maintain trade accuracy and mitigate risk.
- Produce reporting, including fails and reconciliations, and maintain client portfolios and trade matching services.
- Maintain accuracy of client portfolio using internal and external comparison tools.
- Perform research and conduct moderately complex analyses using established techniques, including transactions that require special handling and exception handling.
- Explore methods to enhance processes, further reduce risks, and boost client experience.
- Partner with colleagues on trade and sales support teams and external agents.
- Create reports and liaise with internal partners to ensure proper client reporting and assist with regulatory reporting.
- Escalate potential risks and exposures to manager in a timely manner.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, new processes, or initiatives requiring coordination among subject matter experts representing multiple product areas or functions.
I demonstrate strong attention to detail and apply critical thinking to ensure accuracy and sound decision making. I am experienced in data collection and entry, as well as recording and organising information in a structured and efficient manner. I conduct thorough research to support informed outcomes and contribute effectively to fraud management processes. I have the ability to interpret relevant laws, rules, and regulations, ensuring compliance and reducing risk. I apply problem solving skills alongside quality assurance practices to maintain high standards and continuously improve performance. I take a proactive approach to risk management, anticipating potential issues and addressing them early. I am adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing priorities while maintaining focus on objectives. I maintain a strong customer and client focus, ensuring needs and expectations are consistently met. I prioritise tasks effectively to manage workload and deliver results within required timeframes. I communicate clearly and professionally through written communications, ensuring key messages are understood.
Desired Skills- Associate's Degree or higher with a major in business, finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with data analysis, including maintaining databases, collecting data, filtering and cleaning data, identifying patterns, interpreting data and presenting findings.
