Role PurposeBlackrock Clinic is currently recruiting an enthusiastic CORU registered Senior Medical Scientist to join our team in the Haematology Department. The post holder will lead service delivery in order to meet the needs and requirements of its users and patients.
Qualifications / Experience- Possess 4 years experience in a medical laboratory setting since qualifying as a medical scientist
- Possess the appropriate technical and interpretive skills in Haematology
- Excellent planning & organisational skills.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and people management skills.
- Familiarity with ISO15189 and JCI standards.
- To assist in the organisation and co-ordination of the Haematology / Blood Transfusion service.
- To assist in the implementation and maintenance of a quality management system that meets the requirements of ISO15189 and Joint Commission International (JCI).
- To assist in training of staff in the laboratory for the provision of routine services.
- To act as deputy for the Chief Medical Scientist when required and liaise with other senior personnel.
