Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Location: Aberdeen, Scotland (On-site, Monday to Friday); Employment Type: Full-Time - Perm.

An established downhole tool design company in the Aberdeen area is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is an on-site role requiring 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, with extensive experience working on downhole tools (ideally completion tools such as Packers), and proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks. Please note that sponsorship cannot be offered for this position.

• Design and develop downhole tools and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
• Conduct advanced stress and tolerance analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Support prototype development and testing, providing design refinements as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Prepare and review detailed technical documentation, including design specifications and reports.

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, including significant experience with completion tools (Ideally Packers/Bridge Plugs).
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and proficiency with CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks.
• Ability to deliver high-quality designs in a fast-paced environment.
