Role Overview

The Senior Material Handler - Goods Outward is responsible for overseeing the picking, kitting, and dispatch of materials supporting manufacturing production and service orders. Reporting to the Warehouse Lead, this role combines hands on warehouse duties with leadership responsibilities, ensuring all materials are accurately prepared and delivered on time to meet operational and customer requirements.

• Lead and manage the picking team to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely operations
• Oversee the picking and kitting process in line with manufacturing production schedules
• Ensure all picked items are correctly labelled and prepared for dispatch
• Process and complete all associated paperwork and system transactions accurately
• Maintain high standards of order accuracy and on time dispatch for manufacturing and service orders
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and scissor lifts
• Liaise with production teams and internal departments to resolve order related issues
• Participate in inventory reconciliation and stock accuracy processes
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards
• Provide training, guidance, and support to junior staff within the picking area

• Proven experience in a fast paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team focused approach
