The Senior Retail Marketing Executive plays a key role in delivering high-impact retail marketing activity across the UK, ROI and EU store estate. Working at pace in a fast-moving retail environment, this role supports the execution of consumer-relevant campaigns that drive footfall, conversion, ATV and UPT across all store formats.
With strong attention to detail and a proactive, agile mindset, the Senior Retail Marketing Executive helps ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time and in line with trading priorities. The role requires a hands-on, retail-savvy approach, the ability to adapt quickly to changing trade needs, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support effective in-store communication across POS and screens.
Responsibilities- Support the Retail Marketing Manager to deliver tactical marketing strategies across the UK, ROI and EU
- Monitor and review marketing promotional activity providing analysis and learnings.
- Ability to manage a project budget and ensure that all promotion is timely and well targeted.
- Working to a CPA, keeping this updated throughout the campaign progress and keeping the Retail Marketing Manager updated
- Proactively reach out to teams to input campaign learnings, & work closely and cross-functionally with the Retail team to proactively assess any performance issues and develop the tactical Retail Marketing solutions that might be needed to address these
- Co-own Retail KPIs, in particular footfall with the market Retail team.
- Lead the briefing and roll out of key campaigns
- Work closely with our external print company to ensure all retail marketing campaigns are delivered on time and to deadline, supporting smooth end-to-end execution
- Review and support with sign off distribution lists, comp sheets & print specifications with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all store formats & territories
- Work cross-channel with Visual Merchandising (VM) to ensure aligned, consistent execution of campaigns across POS, windows and in-store environments
- Write, compile and coordinate clear, concise campaign communications for VM to distribute to stores, ensuring guidance is easy to follow and supports effective in-store implementation
- Review comp sheets in detail, ensuring all content, formats and store allocations are accurate prior to print and distribution
- Proactively liaise with EU territory teams to source translations, ensuring all local language content is accurate, approved and consistently rolled out across all relevant touchpoints
- Own football in-store customization content, including maintaining and updating content sheets ahead of transfer windows and new seasons, working with Merch teams to source shirts to shoot, and coordinating with our external agency to ensure assets are supplied and upload to screens on time.
- Briefing of multi-channel, creative and studio teams for POS, Social, CRM, Online and Paid media requirements.
- Great interpersonal, networking and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and can-do attitude to solving problems.
- Works well in fast paced environment.
- Understanding of Retail KPIs.
- Ability to travel to retail stores
- Previous Retail Marketing experience.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all retail marketing materials and store execution.
- Ability to respond quickly and work with agility, adapting plans at pace to meet changing trade and retail needs.
- Retail savvy, with a strong understanding of store environments and the realities of trading.
- Ability to think strategically while delivering tactically, understanding how day-to-day activity ladders up to wider business objectives.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, comfortable taking ownership of tasks and driving them through to completion.
