A Day in the LifeOur Operations Manufacturing Department in Medtronic, plc, focuses on meeting customer & patient needs every day. Our focus is on delivering and maintaining high maturity manufacturing processes and maintaining high-quality performance within our Teams. Senior Manufacturing Supervisors are directly involved in the achievement of our mission to contribute to human welfare by manufacturing products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
Come for a job, stay for a career! Responsibilities- Create a robust training process that builds the capabilities of Production Assistants, Front Line Technical Staff and People Leaders across Manufacturing.
- Using the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Effectively communicate with teams and their reports; leading daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to manage the business and share information.
- Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Plan and administer procedures and budgets.
- Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labour.
- Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
- Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
- Encourages and facilitates beneficial resolution of issues across the department, effectively mediates conflict to promote a friendly climate, good morale, and team cohesiveness.
- Partners with functions to drive a continuous improvement environment.
- Identifies opportunities to improve on how we support our customers and fosters a culture of innovation, identifying innovative solutions to process problems and actively encourages team members to share new ideas and fresh approaches.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent with 5+ years of work experience in a Supervisory or Operations support position in a highly regulated environment OR; Level 8 Degree in Engineering/Science/Manufacturing or related discipline & a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience).
- Proven expertise in training delivery in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in the medical device industry will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership with strong team development, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong problem solving and project management skills.
- You will be IT proficient (knowledge of SAP an advantage).

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
