Meet the team

The Ireland Operations team is actively seeking the right teammate to support the stand up of production in our Ireland factory as a Senior Supervisor in Manufacturing.

As the Senior Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate a production team operating on one of our shifts to support our overall Business Units that operates 24/7. This position will set goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop concepts and approaches, review production performance and results, and make decisions to ensure production deliverables are achieved. This job spends a significant amount of time leading a production team as well as mentoring other supervisors.

Shift Schedule
  • Front End Day shift: 12 hour day shift (7:00am - 7:00pm)
  • Every Monday to Wednesday and alternate Thursdays following a repeating 4 on/3 off - 3 on/4 off schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead your team; ensure you have a highly motivated, high-performance team that operates to Dexcom's desired behaviours.
  • Responsible for addressing people's performance issues and conflict resolutions if they arise.
  • Ensure a culture within production where Safety and Quality are a priority.
  • Focus on development of the individuals on the team for the benefit of the individual and Dexcom.
  • Lead your production team to deliver balanced scorecard of deliverables pre agreed with the leadership team - work closely with and influencing your cross functional partners to deliver these.
  • Ensure due consideration is given to cross training and business continuity to minimize interruption to production.
  • Ensure that you and the team operate the Dexcom Production System.
  • Engage actively as required to ensure resolution of issues and challenges.
  • Coordinate and/or act as a liaison between work area, shifts, and functions.
  • Ensure that the Production team executes in conformity with company and/or industry policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement that will result in improvements in quality, cost, delivery and safety.
  • Deeply understand the time studies for your area to enable resource management to maximize performance.
  • Having a deep understanding of the financial associated with area of responsibility; make budgetary recommendations.
  • Have deep technical knowledge to help drive resolution of challenges.
  • Support new product introductions into commercial manufacturing as required.
  • Remain up to date on global programs that will impact teams' execution.

  • You have experience of working in the medical device industry and/or within a digital factory manufacturing environment as an advantage.
  • A Six Sigma Green Belt qualification is essential, while a Black Belt qualification would be advantageous.
  • Ideally you are experienced with start up & scale up organizations.
Education & Experience
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of manufacturing industry experience and previous formal management/team lead experience.
