Senior Manager Freight Optimisation

Job Description

Auxilia Group Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager Freight Optimisation on behalf of our client company operating in the shipping and logistics industry. This is a permanent opportunity based in Cork.

Role

• Develop and implement freight optimization strategies; optimize routing, mode selection, consolidation, and load planning.
• Own freight spend analysis, cost-to-serve modelling, KPI tracking, and business case development.
• Manage carriers and 3PLs, lead tenders and negotiations, and review performance.
• Work with Planning, Warehousing, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, manage freight risks, and support sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• Educational qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar.
• 5+ years in a freight or logistics optimization role.
• Proven cost-saving results.
• Strong analytical skills along with data-driven decision-making.
