We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Climate and Energy HSBC UK.

Responsibilities- Developing and delivering key elements of an integrated and market-leading climate and energy strategy across HSBC UK, aligned with Group Net Zero Transition Plan
- Supporting lines of business to develop integrated customer-focused, commercially oriented plans to maximise the opportunities of the net zero transition for HSBC UK and our clients, including through ownership of projects to identify and shape medium/long-term opportunities
- Leading delivery of our net zero external engagement and advocacy strategy, including engagement with government, industry and other stakeholders on the policy environment and development of blended finance opportunities
- Supporting key Group Sustainability workstreams
- Supporting climate risk management, including through minimising greenwashing risk
- Driving colleague engagement and upskilling on climate and energy, via timely internal communications and information dissemination
- Engaging at senior levels, internally and externally
- Previous sustainability/climate experience
- Strategic change experience with the ability to initiate, design, deliver and implement projects against agreed objectives and KPIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to form effective internal and external relationships and engage effectively at a range of levels of seniority
- Strong MI, research, analysis, synthesis and argument building skills
- Strong collaborative and influencing skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative and work with multiple teams
- Ability to take a bank-wide view, manage multiple priorities and continually drive for ambition and delivery
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and commercial banking
