Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

Stepping Stones Residential Care Ltd. is looking for an experienced, motivated and highly competent Senior Manager to join our senior leadership team across the Wexford/Tipperary region.

This is a key operational and governance role for an ambitious leader with extensive experience in HIQA-regulated residential services, strong knowledge of safeguarding and human rights-based practice, and a proven ability to support residential centres to achieve and maintain high standards.

Working closely with the Director of Services and wider senior management team, the successful candidate will provide leadership, governance oversight, operational support and regulatory assurance across designated centres.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will:

• Provide strong governance, operational and regulatory oversight across designated centres
• Support and supervise Persons in Charge and centre management teams to achieve and sustain HIQA compliance
• Conduct audits, service reviews, quality improvement initiatives and unannounced visits
• Support services through HIQA inspections and regulatory engagement
• Lead safeguarding oversight, risk management and incident review processes
• Promote a culture of human rights, dignity, inclusion and person-centred practice
• Work collaboratively with HSE and Tusla representatives, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Support staffing oversight, performance management, supervision and team development
• Monitor action plans, compliance trackers, governance systems and quality improvement plans
• Support admissions, compatibility reviews, transition planning and placements where required
• Escalate risks and governance concerns appropriately
• Support organisational growth, service development and operational projects
• Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Nursing or another relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years' management experience within HIQA-regulated residential services
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations, standards and inspection processes
• Demonstrated experience in safeguarding management and oversight
• Experience working with HSE and Tusla representatives
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience conducting audits and driving quality improvement
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing and supporting multidisciplinary and centre management teams
• Excellent report writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across services

Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

• Supporting services through registration or inspection processes
• Children's residential services and/or disability services
• Positive behavioural support and restrictive practice governance
• Service development and organisational growth
