Senior Management Accountant

Hays are recruiting for a long-standing charity client to recruit a Senior Management Accountant.

Your new company
A national charity based here in Bristol is looking for a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis to be based from their head office 1 day per week and 4 days working from home.

Your new role
You'll work closely with the Finance Manager to support the strategic decision-making and drive financial excellence across the organisation.

Deliver accurate and timely financial reports and analysis for key business areas

Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and regulatory standards

Manage billing and cash collection processes to ensure timely reimbursement

Lead, mentor, and develop a Junior Management Accountant, building a high-performing team

Support the Finance Manager in maintaining a robust financial control environment

What you'll need to succeed
This is a great opportunity for someone to join a friendly and welcoming team. The successful candidate will:

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience

Strong background in preparing management accounts and working in the commercial sector

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Access finance systems

Proven leadership and team management skills
