Rate: c £600 per day, outside IR35

We are seeking a Senior Apple Mac EUC Support Engineer to join a specialist End User Compute (EUC) IT services provider, modernising secure digital workplaces for high-profile UK Central Government organisations.

As a Senior Mac EUC Support Engineer you will serve as a technical leader and mentor within the End User Compute team. Building on your extensive expertise with Apple Mac technologies, you will provide expert-level 3rd line support, contribute to solution design, and ensure the professional development of Mac Engineers and Trainee Engineers.

You will also play a key role in shaping technology roadmaps, endpoint architecture, and Zero Trust Security adoption, while ensuring the timely resolution of complex incidents and business-critical issues.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert 3rd line and escalation support for macOS environments, acting as the go-to authority for Apple technologies.
  • Mentor and coach Mac Engineers and Trainee Engineers, embedding knowledge transfer and best practice.
  • Design, implement, and optimise UEM solutions using Workspace ONE and/or JAMF.
  • Contribute to project delivery and support the Architecture Function in shaping the EUC technology roadmap.
  • Drive service improvements, automation, and process optimisation.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and user-centred support in line with Zero Trust principles.
  • This is a high-impact role where your leadership and expertise will help ensure resilient, secure, and user-focused digital environments.

Skills sought with:

  • Extensive experience supporting Apple environments in enterprise or public sector contexts.
  • Advanced expertise with Workspace ONE and/or JAMF Pro (Jamf 300/400 certification desirable).
  • Experience mentoring or leading technical staff within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Apple Business Manager, ADE, VPP, and device life cycle management.
  • Proficiency in Bash Scripting and automation for secure, auditable environments.
  • Background in endpoint security, Zero Trust, access control, and vulnerability management.
  • Demonstrable experience in enterprise-scale projects such as hardware refreshes, migrations, or UEM deployments.

Desirable:

  • API integration skills, Microsoft or VMware certifications, and experience in ISO 27001 environments.
