Senior Linux Software Engineer (m/f/d) vacancy for a Switzerland based client in the pharmaceutical IT sector

Your tasks:

• Contributing to medical instrument and software development projects with technical know-how
• Developing and maintaining the in-house Linux distribution and open-source tools for internal projects
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and conducting root-cause analysis on Linux software and hardware
• Supporting the development of the hardware test farm and the Debian build tool (Molior)
• Communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences

Your experience/knowledge:

• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (min. 3 years relevant experience)
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Linux Software Engineer
• Proven expertise in developing customized Linux distributions (Debian/Ubuntu)
• Strong Front End development experience with React or Angular (5+ years)
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu)
• Strong knowledge in operating systems, software building, testing, and packaging
• Language skills: Advanced English (able to explain complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders)

Nice to have:

• Kubernetes and Python experience
• Debian package building
• Embedded software, hardware drivers, ARM platform, hardware/software integration
• German language skills (not required)
