Legal Secretary - Projects & Construction

We are currently recruiting a Legal Secretary to join a busy and dynamic Projects & Construction team. The legal team is recognised for delivering innovative, practical solutions and working closely with clients to navigate challenging business environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a legal team
  • Manage the full file lifecycle using a legal case management system
  • Maintain and update case files, including document handling and correspondence
  • Prepare documentation and materials for meetings and client engagements
  • Coordinate monthly billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Manage complex diaries and scheduling, avoiding conflicts and ensuring efficiency
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet requirements
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Produce accurate documentation, working with document specialists where required
  • Arrange travel and prepare detailed itineraries
  • Process time recording and expense submissions
  • Welcome and interact professionally with clients and visitors
Candidate Profile
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a Legal Secretary role, ideally within projects or construction
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders in a legal environment
  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g. iManage or similar)
  • Experience using billing systems (e.g. KeyHouse or equivalent)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional, discreet, and capable of handling confidential information
  • Positive, proactive approach with a strong team ethos
