Professor, Reader or Senior Lecturer - Social Care, Informatics and Technology (Education and Research)
Role OverviewTo lead or support the identification of strategic opportunities and build research and knowledge exchange capacity in the School of Health and Medical Sciences and wider University relating to social care, support of caregivers, the use of data and the implementation of technology. This will be achieved through grant acquisition, methodological support, mentorship to academics, as well as teaching and training activities and by championing purposeful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead or support strategic research initiatives, including grant acquisition and methodological guidance.
- Mentor academics and provide research and KE support.
- Deliver teaching and training activities aligned with the programme.
- Champion collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including under served populations.
- Contribute to design, delivery, dissemination, sustainability and leadership of research and KE activities focusing on care development, child well being, rehabilitation, long term condition management, prevention, population health, community development and workforce planning.
- Doctorate in a relevant field.
- Experience navigating fluidly between academia and professional practice.
- Expertise in co production, facilitating purposeful relationships and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Knowledge of social care, data, technology implementation and informs research design.
