Senior Lead: Legal, Democracy & Monitoring Officer

Basildon Borough Council is seeking an experienced Monitoring Officer to join its leadership team as Assistant Director Legal & Democracy and Monitoring Officer. You will sit within the council's senior leadership and provide trusted legal advice to Members, the Chief Executive and senior officers.

The role focuses on governance, constitutional and democratic matters, with responsibility for robust decision making and improving culture across the organisation.
