Job DescriptionThis temporary opportunity for a Senior Lawyer (Child Protection) in the public sector is ideal for a legal professional with expertise in delivering high-quality legal services. Based in London, this role focuses on assisting with conducting tribunal matters and advising on all SEND related matters.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a range of public sector matters.
- Assist with conducting tribunal matters.
- Advise on all SEND related matters.
- Judicial reviews.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts.
- Represent the organisation in court and during legal proceedings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Support internal departments with legal expertise and risk assessments.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate legal records.
- Collaborate with external legal professionals and counsel when necessary.
- Contribute to developing and implementing legal policies and procedures.
A successful Senior Lawyer (Child Protection) should have:
- A professional legal qualification and membership with a recognised legal body.
- Experience in handling public sector legal matters.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
- Ability to provide clear and concise legal advice to non-legal professionals.
- Excellent advocacy and representation skills.
- Competitive daily rate of £55.00/hour PAYE or £72.33/hour UMBRELLA, depending on experience.
