Senior Kotlin/Android Developer

Job Title: Senior Kotlin/Android Developer (Contract)
Location: Central Leeds (Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite, Tuesdays)
Day Rate: £500-£550 (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 3 months initial

We are currently supporting our client with an exciting opportunity for a Senior Kotlin/Android Developer to join their team on a contract basis.

This role is part of a dedicated Android team and will play a critical part in driving feature delivery, supporting the wider business, and mentoring junior and graduate engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the existing team lead to design and deliver robust, secure, and high-performing Android features.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced developers.
• Champion best practices in Kotlin development, testing, and agile methodologies.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and iOS counterparts.

Requirements:

• Proven commercial experience as a Senior Android Developer.
• Strong Kotlin skills and deep knowledge of Android development best practices.
• A track record of mentoring or supporting junior team members.
• Comfortable contributing to architectural decisions and working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Must be able to attend the client's central Leeds office every Tuesday.
