Senior Java Developer

Morgan Hunt are working with a public sector organisation to recruit a senior software developer. The organisation are looking for an experienced developer with solid commercial experience of building web applications and REST APIs using Spring Boot in an OpenShift/AWS.

Strong Public Sector Experience is essential

Main Objectives of the role:

Deliver technical solutions that ensure:

Upgrades to support compliance with accessibility standards

Improve operational efficiency for administrative users of the services

Improve the user experience and user interface

Optimise the citizen interactions

Ensure compliance with data protection legislation

Effective support and maintenance of the system components

Essential Skills:

Significant commercial experience with the following technology:

Java 17+

Spring boot microservices

Data modelling and SQL development, ideally PostgreSQL

REST APIs

AWS, AWS Lambda, S3, Typescript

Modern DevOps and CI/CD practices including deployment pipelines

Details:-

6 month contract

Remote role (with very occasional office attendance, average 1 day every 6 months)

£420- £470 per day outside IR35
