Senior IT Systems Engineer (Field Work)

MCS Group are proud to be working with a successful, growing organisation who are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to lead support and assistance given to valued clients on the east coast of Ireland. You'll play a key role in designing, securing, and optimising enterprise-class infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

County Louth - On site with clients as required

• Deploy, administer, and support Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V/VMware)
• Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid integrations
• Lead on IT security, monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery planning
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, firewalls (SonicWall/Draytek/Ubiquiti), and Wi-Fi solutions
• Support SQL Server (2016+) and cloud database platforms (Azure SQL / AWS RDS)

• 5+ years' IT systems engineering or consultancy experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
• Hands-on expertise in networking, firewalls, and security solutions (EDR/ITDR)
• Solid SQL Server and database management experience
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and mentoring skills
• Full clean driving licence (essential)
