Job Description
Position Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates and innovates with a strong conceptual design ability and integrates interdisciplinary criteria to effectively move forward the design of distinct portions of large projects or entire projects of a small scale.
  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of interiors and architectural building materials and finishes, building systems, specifications, current and applicable building and fire codes, design and detailing standards, construction techniques, and current market cost trends, and enriches design concepts through technical strategies and appropriate tools at all project phases.
  • Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of interior architecture and architectural design, including workplace planning and design concept development for hospitality and/or residential projects, design documentation, construction documentation, construction administration, and furniture (FF&E) and materials selection and specifications.
  • Manages time and workload of own work and that of others to meet project task deadlines and commitments, guides and teaches less experienced staff, and participates in marketing and business development efforts.
  • Demonstrates detailed knowledge of local office standards, policies, and procedures and can direct others in their use.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Inspires and leads others by example, mentors and trains staff, clearly defines team member expectations and responsibilities, empowers and delegates appropriately based on team members' abilities and potential.
  • Directly supervises staff and commits to their professional development.
  • Develops and engages in talent strategy to recruit specialists, leaders, and future professionals through resume review and interviews.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop a clear, consistent work plan to achieve project budget, deliverables, and schedule.
  • Actively engages in internal and external professional development opportunities.
  • Contributes to the implementation of sustainable strategies in all project assignments and to the development of staff knowledge.
  • Contributes to the development of standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Protects the firm from financial and legal risk.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture and/or Interior Design.
  • Significant experience in the design and execution of corporate workplace interior projects.
  • Professional licensure process nearing completion; LEED accreditation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum six years of experience or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • General understanding of sustainable strategies and principles, including familiarity with LEED or other green building rating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with BIM and Revit tools and a practical understanding of digital tools such as Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Navisworks, Ladybug, Enscape, VR, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Active support of compliance with BIM/CAD project standards and procedures.
