What's the roleAs a Senior IM Advisor, you will be part of a community of experts in Information Digital Engineering, driving ideas to reality and embedding AI in our organisation. You will help accelerate the development of the next generation of clean energy solutions, maximizing value from information and data, and delivering actionable data-driven insights.
You will be an asset to our team bringing deep technical skills and capabilities to become a key part of projects defining the data journey at Shell, engaging with companywide teams and continuously learning new technologies to stay future ready.
Responsibilities- Deploy & embed Information & Data (I&D) standards, roles, responsibilities, competencies, initiatives and services as defined in the business strategy.
- Monitor, propose, and work on initiatives to improve I&D health and operational excellence in execution.
- Collaborate with Data management teams.
- Identify and document the I&D business needs of clients and stakeholders and help determine solutions to meet needs or resolve problems.
- Analyze, design, develop, and maintain end-to-end I&D lifecycle processes that meet business needs and integrate with business processes and IT architecture.
- Review and manage Information and Data risks in the business.
- Identify and prioritise Business Improvement Opportunities with Information and Data.
- Develop, execute and monitor an Information and Data Improvement Plan.
- Maintain Information and Data health, maturity & compliance.
We are seeking someone with proven experience in I&D Management Framework practices within the IT industry and the ability to implement them effectively. The following qualifications and skills are desired:
- Understands and can effectively leverage the I&D support / services / operations environment.
- Skilled in the I&D Management business process and how it fits in relevant business processes.
- Aware of the wider field of I&D principles and technologies and how the role relates to the business.
- Skilled in SharePoint/O365 tools (MS Teams, PowerApps, Flow, PowerBI, etc.) with thorough understanding of capabilities, features and limitations.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Skilled in project management, requirement gathering and organizational skills.
- Mastery in Information Management Policy and Processes; Record Management Policy and Processes.
- Skilled in metadata structuring and taxonomy used within Shell.
- Skilled in I&D Value Exploitation, Lifecycle & Quality Management, Business Analysis, and Business Partnering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with unstructured data sets is an advantage.
- Certification in Information Management Professional (CIP) or Information Governance is an added advantage.
- University degree in IT or related discipline.
