We're looking for a driven, people focused Senior HR Advisor to join our team at our Riverside site. In this permanent role, you'll become a key part of our People function, providing confident, front line HR support to managers, shaping best practice, and helping bring our people strategy to life.

This role sits at our Riverside site, the opened in 2012 to act as a satellite site to our primary processing facility in Preston, Hull. The site has undergone recent and significant investment with a focused future strategy, delivering best-in-market supply chain standards and creating a quality culture that puts our customer's needs at the forefront of all our decisions.
What You'll Be Doing:As our Senior HR Advisor, you'll play a hands on role in supporting our people and shaping a positive, high performing culture across the site. You'll get involved in a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Providing professional, proactive, and business focussed HR support at the Riverside & Cold Store sites.
- Maintain appropriate systems for measuring HR KPIs and ensuring compliance within the function.
- Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
- Liaise with Department Managers to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of HR development and methods and provide suitable interpretation to the Senior Leadership team, Managers and workers.
- Ensure that right to work checks are completed in line with current legislation.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance.
- Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
- Provide generalist support to Line Managers on human resource matters such as discipline, grievance, absence management, flexible working, etc.
- Ensure effective coordination of employee relations cases, including document management.
- Educate and support Line Managers on contractual/policy matters.
- Initiate and manage HR projects/consultations as required.
- Ensure that the reward and recognition policies and practices are implemented in a fair and consistent manner.
- Organise and communicate Occupational Health appointments and review the reports, ensuring that recommendations are followed up.
- Oversee maternity/paternity process, ensuring that all communication is sent to the relevant workers.
- Compile and report on monthly/quarterly KPIs including absence, turnover, retention and headcount.
- Track and analyse trends on employee relations and provide ideas for improvements.Monitor, measure and report on equal opportunities information and workforce demographics.
- Engage with the on site Labour partners, ensuring that the Representatives meet company requirements.
- Lead HR initiatives, such as Wellbeing week, staff survey and fundraising events.
- Support the HR Manager to maximize the effective deployment of performance management processes to enhance individual and business performance.
- Assist in the development of the HR Apprentice.

- Minimum CIPD Level 3 (essential)
- Experience working in a busy HR environment
- FMCG experience (desirable)
