Job Description

Are you an experienced Engine and Rendering Specialist ready to take the lead on cross-platform porting and high-end graphics development?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing studio where you'll play a key role in optimising performance, advancing rendering technologies, and bringing games to life across multiple platforms.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead porting initiatives for console and cross-platform targets, ensuring performance and stability across all hardware.
  • Analyse and optimise every stage of the rendering pipeline to meet strict performance budgets.
  • Profile CPU and GPU workloads, implementing low-level optimisations to maximise efficiency.
  • Refactor and debug legacy engine code from external teams to meet internal quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engine and tools engineers to extend or enhance engine functionality beyond built-in capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced developers, sharing best practices in rendering, optimisation, and engine development.
What we're looking for:
  • Remote role (within Canada)
  • At least 8 years of experience in game development, with a proven track record of shipping console titles in senior technical roles.
  • Deep understanding of rendering pipeline stages, shader compilation workflows, and performance optimisation.
  • Expertise in profiling and tuning both CPU and GPU performance on hardware.
  • Strong proficiency working within engine codebases and native plugin development.
  • Experience refactoring complex, legacy engine code.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Advanced experience using version control systems such as Git or Perforce, including managing complex merges and external code integration.
  • Proficiency in shader programming languages such as HLSL or GLSL.
  • Familiarity with low-level graphics APIs like DirectX 12 or Vulkan (an asset).
  • Experience porting between engines (e.g., Unity to Unreal) or to custom native runtimes (an asset).

If you're a technical leader with a passion for rendering excellence, engine innovation, and cross-platform performance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Apply now, or contact Ryan Templeman -
