You will operate with significant autonomy, while influencing the direction of the class and helping position Everest as a go to market for brokers and clients in the GA space.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, grow and actively manage a profitable, sustainable portfolioDefine and implement underwriting appetite, strategy and guidelinesAnalyse portfolio performance and refine approach to optimise returnsCollaborate across underwriting classes to deliver best in class solutionsSupport the development of reinsurance strategyRepresent Everest in the London and international markets, building strong broker relationshipsEnsure adherence to governance standards across aggregation and reportingPlay a key role in building and developing a high performing GA teamWork closely with Claims, Reserving, Distribution and Ceded Re to deliver a fully aligned underwriting approachWhat We're Looking ForStrong General Aviation underwriting experience within the London Market (Lloyd's or Company Market)Proven ability to build or materially contribute to a profitable underwriting portfolioCommercially astute, with a strong grasp of pricing, risk selection and portfolio managementCredibility with brokers, clients and internal stakeholdersStrategic mindset with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plansA collaborative approach and ability to leverage global resources across a platformHigh levels of drive, ownership and accountabilityExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalWhy This Role Stands OutThis role will particularly appeal to individuals who are:Looking to step into a broader, more strategic underwriting positionMotivated by the opportunity to build something and have visible impactInterested in joining a business where underwriting discipline and growth are genuinely alignedCurrently in a role where portfolio ownership or flexibility is limited, and looking for greater influenceWhat if I don't meet every requirement?
