Senior GCP Infrastructure Engineer

Location: 2 days per week in any of: London, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester
Pay: INSIDE IR35, paying up to £515 per day

We're seeking an experienced Senior GCP Infra & DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact Public Cloud Platform team within a leading financial services organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands on engineering of scalable GCP Cloud Products (IaC)
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows using Terraform, Python, and Harness/Jenkins
• Design and implement secure, compliant infrastructure modules (Policy as Code, GCP Org Policies)
• Curate and optimise Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Istio Service Mesh, and containerised environments
• Audit and migrate legacy Terraform configs into reusable, modular templates
• Provide strategic input into platform design and architecture

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong GCP Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps expertise
• Terraform / Terraform Cloud, IaC best practices
• Python scripting for automation
• GKE, Istio, Container Management
• GCP Org Policy, Policy as Code (Sentinel/OPA)
• CI/CD tooling: Harness, Jenkins, GitHub
• GCP and Terraform Certifications
• Comfortable advising on architecture, security, and platform strategy
