Senior Estimator - Dublin

Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with a leading construction contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team in Dublin. This is an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to take ownership of complex tender opportunities, working closely with Pre-Construction, Commercial, Design and Operations teams to develop accurate, competitive and commercially sound bids across a range of construction projects.

You will play a key role in the pre-construction process, managing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and supporting the business through value engineering and tender handover. You will be responsible for:

• Leading the preparation and submission of complex tenders.
• Reviewing tender documentation and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender analyses.
• Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries, including negotiations.
• Working closely with Pre-Construction, Commercial, Design and Operations teams throughout the tender process.
• Supporting value engineering exercises to ensure competitive and commercially viable tenders.
• Supporting effective tender handovers to the operational teams.

What you will need

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• 8-10 years' estimating experience within a main contractor environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Experience managing complex tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pre-construction, commercial, design and operations teams.
