Job Description
The Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to play a key role in producing accurate cost build ups and helping us secure high quality work with the right price, value and risk profile. If you're sharp with numbers, commercially minded, and confident leading the estimating process, this could be the next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for bids and live opportunities
  • Reviewing drawings, specs and project information to determine requirements
  • Working closely with operational teams to shape win themes and tender solutions
  • Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to secure best value quotations
  • Producing elemental cost breakdowns, value engineering options and supporting documentation
  • Carrying out site visits and desktop reviews to inform accurate pricing
  • Supporting pre construction, mid project and post completion reviews
  • Identifying commercial and operational risks within tenders
  • Contributing to client meetings, negotiations and presentations
  • Maintaining cost databases, rates and pricing information
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting junior team members
About you
  • Degree/diploma in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
  • 5+ years' estimating experience within construction/social housing
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and regulations
  • Confident analysing drawings and technical information
  • Excellent numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong commercial and risk management awareness
  • Proficient with Excel and estimating tools/software
  • Great communicator with strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Able to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
