Senior Engineer

A leading main contractor is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team, specialising in housing projects located in Meath. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work with one of Ireland's top contractors, delivering high-quality residential developments in Meath.

Role:

• Lead and manage Health and Safety compliance on-site, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
• Oversee setting out on-site in accordance with design plans, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
• Plan and monitor project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Liaise with subcontractors and service providers to ensure work is executed as per the programme.
• Manage and maintain accurate site records, including documentation of material deliveries and inspections.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and site staff.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager to coordinate trades and resolve issues promptly to avoid delays.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally within residential or housing projects.
• Relevant Engineering degree
• Proven expertise in setting-out equipment (e.g., GPS, total station) and associated software.
• Comprehensive understanding of Building Regulations, construction standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges proactively.
