Senior Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join ourteam responsible for delivery of major projects on our 17-yearcivils and concrete structures framework for the PPP at Sellafield.Works will include earthworks,
concrete structures blockwork and concretestructures.

The SeniorEngineer Role

A member of the projectteam, reporting to the Project Manager /Chief Engineer, you will beresponsible for the management & delivery of work packages bothself-delivered & sub-contractedin
the respective section of worksranging from Earthworks, Piling, Road construction includingsurfacing & white lining, Coring / Drilling Works, Drainage,Both Small & Large scale ReinforcedConcrete,
Formwork, LiftingOperations, Tower & Mobile Cranage, Concrete Pumps, SprayConcrete Works, Civil Support to both temporary & PermanentPower, Water Management, Temporary Works

Management of works in line with programmes,health and safety and quality procedures.
• Liaison with client technical, delivery anddesign teams.
• Liaison and management of SRM departments includingtemporary works, liftingsolutions,
  quality, andsafety.
• Management and supervision of specialistsubcontractors
• Supervision and mentoring of engineeringstaff.
• Production of constructiondocumentation

Yourprofile

Nuclear & Sellafield Major Project Experience

Bulk Excavation to largescale reinforced concrete structures

Familiar with the T12 week Work Packageplanning process & executing works in a Nuclear regulatedenvironment

Familiar with Nuclear quality standards for tolerances& grading for works

Experience in Work package production of SSOW& all supporting information required - Stakeholder planning& leading, hazard screening, RAMS, Permit Production &Control relevant to the Sellafield Site

Familiar with SLP's & Contractor sitestandards for Sellafield site Experience managing numeroussub-contractor & supply chain package of works withinresponsible section of works

Familiar with take offs & ordering ofmaterials & records Records & As-Builts, production ofLife Time Records An understanding of all facets of theconstruction process. Familiar with construction software packages.

An understanding ofthe weekly & 4-weekly look-ahead programmes and the principlesbehind it.

Knowledge of building products, construction details andrelevant rules, regulations and quality standards.

Technically competent onthe use of engineers instruments (e.g Total Station, Levels etc)

An understanding of theHealth & Safety requirements

Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule andevaluate works. Good organisation and planning skills.

Ability to research andassess suitable alternative products/design solutions.

NEBOSH (Preferred)

Degree Qualified in a Constructionrelated degree
