Senior Embedded Ada Software Engineer

Based in Stevenage

Circa £65,000 + bonus + 14% pension

Real-time. Airborne. Mission-critical. This is not app development. This is software that talks between complex systems and platforms in flight.

You'll join a growing Datalink function shaping the architecture, protocols and technical direction of next generation communication systems. Proper embedded engineering. Hard real time constraints. Lab work. Oscilloscopes on the bench.

You'll work across:

• Requirements capture
• Embedded architecture and design
• Ada implementation
• Verification and integration

You'll collaborate daily with firmware, hardware and systems engineers. This is multi disciplinary engineering done properly, not siloed ticket writing.

We're looking for engineers who have:

• Significant embedded software experience in Ada
• Hard real time development exposure
• RTOS experience, FreeRTOS ideal
• Confidence working in a lab environment with real hardware

If you enjoy solving system level problems, digging into performance, and influencing technical direction rather than just coding to spec, this will suit you.

You will hold British citizenship or be a dual national with British citizenship for security clearance purposes.
